Metatask allows you to set due dates using business days option.  As you make due date rules in template, you can choose "business days" instead of "calendar days". When you start process, due date will be calculated using only working days, excluding weekends and holidays.

In order to use "business days" option in due date formulas correctly, please customize your business calendar.

Steps to customize business calendar:

  1. Go to your company settings (drop-down menu in the top right corner) and choose tab "Business calendar".

2. Configure the following business calendar options:

  • Non-working days (weekends). E.g. Saturday and Sunday, but you can set more than 1 or 2 days per week. This makes sure Saturdays and Sundays will not be included as business days.

  • Holidays for this and the following year. You need to enter the date and holiday name and press "tick" button for saving. This makes sure holidays will not be included as business days.

Now when you set your due dates as formulas using business days and start process from this template, these non-working days and holidays will never be included in due dates calculation.

Example: Your process was started Nov, 7th (Tuesday). The task due date is 5 business days after process start. But Nov, 10th is Veterans Day and Nov, 11th-12th are non-working as Saturday and Sunday. Five working days will be: Nov, 8th, 9th, 13th, 14th, 15th. So the task due date will be set at Nov, 15th.
